Paweł Markiewicz is a historian of twentieth century Central and Eastern Europe. He currently serves as executive director of the Washington, DC office of the Polish Institute of International Affairs (PISM) and is advisor to the PISM director for US operations. He is author of Unlikely Allies: Nazi German and Ukrainian nationalist Collaboration in the General Government During World War II (2021).
