I thank Rappaport for his essays, and for demonstrating a willingness to reconsider -- a rare capacity indeed.

I also share many of Rappaport's conclusions. That said, I'm less inclined to lay blame on the Obama Administration for Iraq's problems. But of course, my failure to adopt Rappaport's perspective is largely Rappaport's own fault. He wrote only four essays. Maybe if he'd written one more, it would have persuaded me. Ok, maybe two more. Maybe a surge of essays would have done the trick. We'll never know -- and that's all because Rappaport decided to cut and run, snatching defeat from the jaws of potential victory. Oh, well -- c'est la guerre.

you could write a litte more on this topic? I'd be very thankful if you could elaborate a little bit further.
