Gratitude and humility are more important to a conservative outlook than plans and "first principles."
I’m off to the thriving metropolis of Memphis, Tennessee, for the annual meeting of the Philadelphia Society. The subject of this year’s meeting is federalism, and the Society has kindly invited me to discuss my heterodox view over lunch. The text of my remarks appears here.
