Dr. Jerry Hendrix is a senior fellow with the Sagamore Institute in Indianapolis, Indiana. A retired Navy captain, he served 26 years on active duty, served in five military campaigns, and accumulated 2,500 hours in Navy aircraft. He has degrees from Purdue, the Naval Postgraduate School, Harvard, and holds a PhD in War Studies from Kings College, London. He is the author of two books, Theodore Roosevelt’s Naval Diplomacy, and To Provide and Maintain a Navy.
